We have conducted more than 175 clinical studies covering every clinically promising drug class and device development in diabetes since the company’s inception in 2004. Our studies are primarily sponsored research projects from global to mid-size and smaller pharmaceutical companies, academic institutes and global clinical research organizations outsourcing their metabolic-related studies. However, we also conduct original, investigator initiated and co-development studies.We are widely recognized as a leading automated glucose clamp institute with an equally strong portfolio of other metabolic research methods including:
- Proof-of-mechanism studies assessing endogenous glucose turnover, metabolic pathways, e.g. utilizing stable isotope methods, tissue biopsies, state-of-the-art functional imaging methods

Study Volunteer Recruitment
Profil Institute understands that rapid enrollment is key to the successful and timely completion of clinical studies. We have a database with over 11,000 active volunteers including individuals with diabetes or obesity as well as healthy subjects. We maintain active recruitment campaigns for potential study participants through social media, TV, radio, newspapers and community outreach. All materials used for recruitment activities are reviewed and approved by Institutional Review Boards / Ethics Committees.
