Our clinical study volunteers play a very important role in finding new, better treatments for diabetes and obesity. Study volunteers range from people who are diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, to people who are overweight or have high cholesterol, and even to people who are healthy and have no symptoms of diabetes or obesity.
In cooperation with the pharmaceutical industry, we perform clinical studies for the development and testing of new drugs and medical devices to treat diabetes, obesity and cardiometabolic diseases. This includes examining the effectiveness and safety of new medicines, diagnostics, and new administration methods of existing therapeutics, such as insulin that can be inhaled.
